Based on stakeholder feedback at the beginning of the TIA process, Life School is distributing 90% of the allotment to the teacher earning the designation. We want to reward the individual teachers who earned the designation as well as remain competitive with surrounding districts. The remaining 10% will be used for training and support of the system, expansion of the system, and administrative costs associated with implementing the system.
Life School established a DSDC team with a subcommittee dedicated to developing the spending and funding plan for TIA at the beginning of the TIA process. This subcommittee developed questions and polled teachers and other stakeholders involved to both educate and obtain feedback on their preferences regarding the distribution of funds.
Please call your child's campus and ask to speak to the campus nurse. If you get the automated message for your campus, please choose the designated extension to speak to the nurse.
For security reasons, we don't publish our response plan. However, each campus has been trained on active shooter situations and has protocols in place to ensure the safety of all students and staff.
